Kontji is heavily involved in charitable works in the community with various boards, committees and organizations. She currently holds prominent positions on the The Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, the SchoolSeed Foundation, the New Memphis Board of Trustees and the Junior League of Memphis Community Advisory Committee. 

Additionally, as a proud member of The BOW Collective; national Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; National Association of Television Arts and Sciences; National Association of Black Journalists and ACT | App Association; Kontji continues to uplift and empower her community through her philanthropic and community engagement efforts.

As an intellectual property advocate, Kontji has lobbied on Capitol Hill and spoken on international platforms after a harrowing experience where her technology was ripped and cloned overseas. Luckily, the Youdle team kicked out the bad actors and they're now building their mobile app to return to the app store.

Kontji Anthony is the quintessential hostess of the Live at 9 lifestyle TV show on CBS affiliate WREG-TV in Memphis. With a 30-year TV broadcasting career anchoring, reporting, producing and writing for esteemed network news television affiliates nationwide, Kontji’s remarkable contributions to the media industry were highlighted when the Tennessee General Assembly unanimously passed a resolution commending her as a highly regarded TV journalist. 

Kontji's magnetic presence extends beyond the television screen to entrepreneurship as the creator, CEO and co-founder of Youdle, a revolutionary tech platform that connects local supplier availability with consumer demand.

A proud alumna of Howard University's Cathy Hughes School of Communications, Kontji has earned certifications in digital marketing and leadership from Columbia Business School’s Executive Education program. She is a Level 8 Google Community Guide and a 2015 Yelp ACRONYM, one of 10 people chosen annually to attend a Yelp headquarters retreat and consult for a year with the app on usability and new features. 

During her time on Memphis local news, Kontji aired reports on the Today Show, conducted interviews for the E! News Network, performed live on CNN, and appears as a guest announcer on regional radio.

Behind the scenes, Kontji is a community advocate for various causes that arise in the community at any given time. When she learned high school-aged children in Memphis were ashamed to go to back to school for lack of clothes that fit their growing bodies, she led an initiative with The Boys and Girls Club to raise tens of thousands of dollars in various donations to clothe and equip local children to go back to school. 

Kontji also organized a youth voter initiative with The River City Links, Incorporated, conceived a citywide day of service effort to spruce up dilapidated Memphis-Shelby County Schools buildings through Volunteer Memphis, and in a partnership spanning several years with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, helped increase mentorship between kids and caring adults by 35%. She is also an avid animal lover who helps match pets with people.
