Kontji organized a youth voter initiative with The River City Links, Incorporated, conceived a citywide day of service effort to spruce up dilapidated Shelby County Schools buildings through Volunteer Memphis, and in a partnership spanning several years with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, helped increase mentorship between kids and caring adults by 35%. She is also an avid animal lover who helps match pets with people.
